My thoughts:


At first, I had a bit of difficulty getting into this book.  I decided to take a break and come back to it later.  After I came back to it, it was still a little hard to get into but then it started getting interesting once the fighting started.  I enjoyed meeting the two women and am excited to see where their journey takes them.  What happened to Simon?  Can he be trusted?  What happened to Rielle and her friends?  Will Rielle ever tell anyone she is the Blood Queen?  Sad about what happened to the animals.


I would recommend this book to fans of science fiction and fantasy and to fans of teen and young adult novels.  Also to fans of strong female characters.
